A one day course for professional operators familiar with Digital Betacam camcorders and wanting a solid grounding in High Definition.

Understand the basic principles of HD, camcorder features, customising menus,

TC & audio controls, choice of progressive or interlaced scan, choosing frame rates.

Develop skills for first line maintenance, fault finding and problem solving on location.

Develop the confidence to create and modify different looks for your pictures,and then save them to setup cards, eg. the Film Look

Learn how to translate the creative demands of the production team into the technical set-up of the camcorder, creating set-up cards, tracing the workflow through to transmission.
